The story goes that around ten years ago a famous french designer went on holiday to Southern Africa and spotted these 'freedom' chickens on the road side. Smitten by them, he ordered 1000 pieces to line the catwalk on one of his Parisian fashion shows. We are not sure if the chickens ever arrived in Paris but, nevertheless, we found the maker and have supported this talented group of township artisans for more than 6 years. The entire plastic range is made from recycled bags or factory over-runs. They are fun and bound to make you laugh. Colours vary.
